Stud welding plays an important role in fixing stud on car bodies. About80%of the stud is accomplished through the stud welding on each car body, the quality of stud welding seriously affect automotive security. Therefore, a good quality solder joint is particularly critical. However, the stud welding process is very shot, the process of soldering nucleation in a closed stated, it is difficult to observe. The test usually meaning is that randomly selected specimens is curved, this traditional detection method is not only difficult to guarantee the quality of welding, but also increase production costs. With the development of modern electronic technology, welding the average parameter detection alarm system is installed on the welding machine. Stud welding machine by monitor welding current, welding voltage and welding time to determine the welding quality is good or bad. But in fact there are many defects of welding quality relate to these instantaneous value of the parameter.therefor this study designed a dynamic parameter detection system, through the real-time monitoring of dynamic parameter, it can more accurately detect the defects of welding quality.Stud vretical, welding voltage, current and time as rhe main change parameters of the welding process in stud welding plays a key role. Study selection is DCE1500type stud welding that was manufactured by the German Emhart, which comes with a stud vertical monitoring system to ensure stud vertical in welding process. Through the remaining three parameters on-line real-time monitoring, and extracts the associated eigenvalue joint quality,thus completing the monitoring process.Monitoring system consists of two parts. The main role of hardware is data collection and transmssion, in order to complete the work required to design data acquiston card, data acquisition card include control unit, storage unit and the USB interface unit etc. Software is achieved by graphical programming platform LabVIEW, it can achieve many channel parallel data acquisition system of information exchange. The detection system that monitor welding progress quality problems is efficient and accurate, and improve remote monitoring capability. It provides good date for researching welding parameter and welding quality relationship.
