HAZOP analysis is a method of process hazard analysis, with scientific, systematic andcomprehensive characteristics has been widely recognized and applied in industries, to be aeffective method and important tool to prevent the risk of petrochemical and other high-riskareas. But, HAZOP analysis consumes long time, needs heavy workload and higherrequirements to the team analyzers. For that, a computer aided method of HAZOP analysis isdeveloped, to improve it’s effectiveness and accuracy. The SDG-HAZOP analysis, with SDGtechnology’s reasoning ability, structured programming etc, makes the computer aidedanalysis of HAZOP toward further development based on knowledge. The results of SDG-HAZOP analysis, to find out all the possible causes andconsequences of accident influence through the reasoning mechanism, has good integrity. Butit requires high-quality modeling, and qualitative analysis result is likely to emerge"information explosion",cannot distinguish risks between the same grade, leading the blind torisk-response, do not have a definite object in view.Combined with the RBI method, SDG modeling framework is reconstructed, the failureanalysis of the device fault is introduced into the process of HAZOP analysis in this paper, and the risk assessment framework is formulated applied generally. To classify the risksidentified, unacceptable risk were screened out then have a quantitative analysis with AspenPlus software. Then, to rank all the risks and identify risk management priorities, reasonablerisk response measures were put forward. Finally, the debutanizer system of ethylenesequence separation process is selected as a example. research shows that the optimizedSDG-HAZOP analysis not only has high efficiency and better completeness, but alsoquantified the unacceptable risk, to prove an important basis for enterprise security decision.
