Quartz sand is an important national economic construction of non-metallicmineral resources, with a very wide range of applications, including high-tech field ofhigh-purity quartz sand is an important raw material silicon. Yiliang County, YunnanProvince, rich in silica sand resources, quality, development and utilization of greatvalue.(1) Process mineralogy studies show that the main chemical ingredient in YiliangCounty, Yunnan Province, quartz sand is SiO2, content of99.04%, containing a smallamount of Fe2O3, Al2O3, K2O, CaO, MgO, Na2O and other impurities. Fe2O3andAl2O3which target the removal of impurities; main mineral components of quartzcontent greater than90%, containing a small amount of limonite, clay, water, mica,feldspar and other impurities.(2) Quartz sand particle size distribution and chemical composition analysisshowed that there are some differences in the chemical composition of different sizequartz sand. Which SiO2content-0.417~+0.104mm size range up to99.09%quartzsand, Representing99.04%of quartz sand has some improved conditions describedin the medium-grained, quartz sand can improve the taste.(3)Optimization of quartz sand "magnetic-Scrub-pickling" purificationprocess conditions, i.e., the magnetic field strength of1.6T、 scrub time15min、H2SO4concentration of50%、the pickling time was30min.(4) Magnetic test results show that under the conditions of a field strength of1.6T,-0.417~+0.104SiO2content of the quartz sand mm size increase from99.10%to99.58%; Fe2O3, Al2O3content of from0.15%, respectively,0.35%to0.12%and0.24%.(5) In the magnetic separation process based on the process by further scrubbingmud off test results showed that when the slurry is50%, while the scrub time was15min, SiO2content-0.417~+0.104mm particle size of quartz sand from99.58percent to99.79percent raise(6) In magnetic separation, scrub off the mud processes based on the pickling process by further tests showed that when the H2SO4concentration of50%, when thepickling time was30min, SiO2content-0.417~+0.104mm quartz sand grain sizeincreased to99.79%from99.84%, Fe2O3, Al2O3contents were reduced to0.04%and0.084%.
