Articles have been on studied the process of stamping and pre-aging treatment of6016automotive aluminum alloy sheet. Using the6016aluminum alloy as the automotive outer panels to do a trial to stamp the automotive bumper beams, which would be a strong study result to increase the application for the automobile of aluminum alloy. The automobile industry has been developed very mature and the domestic automobile factory has proposed new idea to the development of automobile industry, while our country also gives strong support to the new measures. Meanwhile the fast development speed brings many problems to the global environment and the pollution should not be neglected. So it is the reality to develop the environmental and saving vehicles. Studies indicate the less weight of the vehicle is the most simple and direct method to improve the development of automobile industry new technology. Among the abroad automobile industry the Europe and Japanese automobile industry has lead the application of aluminum alloy to the automobile parts, which the Japanese has proud of less fuel consumption to be world famous automobile industry, the domestic few industry has made initial exploration to the new materials applications. The article will put the application on the automobile parts of the6016aluminum with the premise to study the stamping progress and the special bake hardening of one kind of automobile parts.Domestic university for example Ji Lin university, Hu Nan university have been deeply studied on the steel cold stamping, some domestic industry also made a trial to stamp the aluminum alloy sheet under the steel stamping progress, but the achievement was unsatisfactory. Because the FCC crystal structure of the aluminum alloy, which plastic deformation procedure has significance difference to the steels, so it is unfeasible to use the former steel stamping progress. Results indicate the formability prosperity of aluminum alloy sheet might be promoted increasingly by the warm stamping method, the article take the warm forming as the start point to provide the basic research for the automobile application of the aluminum alloy. Study method as follows, the material mechanical property and corresponding strain-stress curve under warm temperature of6016aluminum alloy has achieved by the warm tensile trial. The main formability parameters such as strain hardening parameter n, strain rate sensitivity constant m and strain hardening coefficient k. The curve fitting method has been used to acquire the warm forming strain-stress constitutive equation of the6016aluminum alloy. Numerical simulation about automobile beam and cylindrical pieces aluminum alloy warm stamping has been on the Dynaform finite element software. Setting up the corresponding numerical simulation stamping progress to get the FLD forming limit program about parts and predict the wrinkle and fracture parts. The finite simulation results provide progress parameter for the laboratory warm bulging forming physics simulation, the results showed the FLD forming limit program of physics bulging simulation has coincidence with the finite simulation, which indicated the stamping process parameters of aluminum alloy sheet have reality. Secondly to improve the bake hardening property of the stamped6016aluminum alloy, the pre-ageing processes were investigated of the6016automotive aluminum sheet. Some test methods have been used such as HV test, DSC (Differential scanning calorimetry) test to optimize the pre-aging process. The results show that the pre-ageing process could significance improve the alloy sheet artificial aging ability.Above studies show that after the study about the materials property and forming property of6016aluminum alloy the stamping temperature for400℃will be acquire better forming quality. If the temperature is higher than that would lower the forming property parameter n, which made lower tensile strength and lead more fracture on the fillet of punch. The optimal process of solution hardening+pre-ageing+natural aging+bake-hardening is designed, pre-aging process160℃,7min could effectively reduce the impact of nature aging to the artificial aging softening, which meet the short-term automobile bake hardening aging process.
