Cold rolled strip production is the important sign of level of the national iron and steel industry. In recent30years, as the key of national varieties structural adjustment of steel, the production and technology of cold rolled strip production has obtained the rapid development. At the same time, along with the increment of cold rolling product category, users of cold-rolled products also made more flexible, dispersion, variable demand, therefore enterprises need agile production to meet the needs of the market. The purpose of this paper is to provide a more reasonable, effective arrangement of cold rolled production when agile production to meet customer demand, reduce production cost and energy saving and emission reduction etc. target.This paper takes a cold rolling factory as the study object, we analyzed its production process, and according to the production process, technology constraints and several production indexes, we study its production scheduling problem and put forward two stages of production scheduling to achieve in different granularity of production plan. The first stage is contract production planning stage. In this stage, we build mathematical programming model for contract scheduling problem. Due to the large scale, complicated constraints, multiple target of this question, paper use the heuristic algorithm to get the initial solution, and adopts improved tabu search algorithm to iterated the initial solution to obtain the global optimal solution (or nearly optimal solution), and prove the effectiveness of the algorithm through the simulation test data. The phase output the contract production arrangement, including the production process and production date. In the first phase the production units of time is day. The second phase is task scheduling stage. This stage studied the production scheduling of each machine in production processes in a day. Due to the similarity of main production process, their scheduling mathematical models are also similar, thus they could be solved in the same method. We studied hot dip galvanizing which is the most complex process in production, and build its mathematical model. Due to the problems scale is small, using the simplex algorithm to get its best solution.This paper described the analysis and process of two stage production scheduling in detail, and at last designed a cold rolling production scheduling system based on the production scheduling scheme. The system designed for production scheduling problem, can provide an effective production plan arrangement, so as to provide guidance for practical production scheduling. This cold rolling production scheduling system is used not only to reduce the scheduling time, but also reduces the dependence of artificial production scheduling, and improve efficiency.
