In the oil and gas multiphase pipelines, Slug flow will increasing the pressure drop in thepipeline and increasing pipe wall corrosion, caused great damage to pipelines and equipmentconnected, also will affect the normal work of the downstream oil and gas processing device. To ensure oil field security and stability of production, there is an urgent need to research theslug flow characteristics in oil and gas multiphase pipelines, also need to control andeliminate the slug flow. In view of the weak link in the pipe bend, its internal fluid flowcharacteristics is very complex, so using computational fluid dynamics to simulate the fluidflow, study the characteristics of fluid flow in the bend pipe, not only can ensure thetransportation safety, also provides a guidance for the design of the bend pipe.In this paper, using computational fluid dynamics to simulate the slug flow underdifferent pressure, gas and liquid flow rate ratio in the bend pipe, after comparison andanalysis it is concluded that: under the same inlet pressure, gas flow rate is constant, increasing the flow of liquid, the length of slug flow in the pipe is less, the slug frequencyincreases, and under the same gas liquid ratio, with the increase of inlet pressure, slug unitlength increases, the slug frequency decreases; due to the effect of centrifugal force, the pipepressure in pipe bending place, the inside pressure less than elbow lateral pressure.
