Crude oil pipeline transportation for long distance, large capacity, small pollution, environmental protection and other characteristics are more and more widely used in the transportation of crude oil. As the oil resources have been development, crude oil transform from the ordinary oil to heavy oil or heavy crude. Colloid and asphaltene and wax in crude oil increased, crude oil of viscosity and density and condensation point becomes higher, pipeline resistance and energy consumption in it increased.The main method of reducing crude oil pipeline resistance is reducing viscosity, including heating viscosity, chemical viscosity and mixing lose viscosity process method. Heating viscosity transmission, there must be to add intermediate heating station, heat loss, higher costs and other issues. Viscosity is only suitable for a particular occasion. Chemical viscosity reduction effect is remarkable, having been attracted many scholars at home and abroad and the production unit of widespread concern.This paper analyzes the research process of the heavy crude oil pipelme and emulsion viscosity reduction, suggestion is proposed to add emulsifying agent to reduce the viscosity of crude oil for delivery. In allusion to crude oil for extended oil company, crude oil was measured by color, status, viscosity, density, freezing point and the moisture content and other physical properties. Through the experiment of emulsion viscosity agent selection study, the compatibility of emulsifier was studied, oil temperature, moisture content and viscosity reducer dosage for emulsion emulsion and viscosity efficiency and other factors were studied. On the comprehensive consideration of compatibility of emulsifier, emulsifying efficiency, the efficiency of viscosity and demulsification dehydration, the result shows that emulsifier SDBS is better. Surface tension decreases with the increasing of temperature and drug concentration. By adding emulsifying viscosity agent, the freezing point of crude oil emulsion decresed. Crude oil emulsion viscosity decreases with the increasing of temperature and dosage. Along with the increasing of moisture content, the trend firstly increases and then decreases. In view of the pipeline from river to elm refining crude oil, this paper analyzed and calculated the emulsification viscosity influence on pipeline and energy saving by the adding viscosity agent under suitable conditions. Crude oil pipeline pressure drop decreases,40℃transportation is used in summer, and pipeline resistance drop to98%; while50℃transportation is used in winter, and pipeline resistance drop to97.4%. Emulsion viscosity is to achieve the purpose of energy saving of the pipeline.
