It is difficult to study some problems on Ground pressure activity and control method, but it attracts some national and international scholars of mining workers to study it. Some catastrophic rock failure and instability (such as rockburst, roof falling, slabbing etc.)happens, which are relate to process of Ground pressure activity. So, some valid facilities and methods should be adopted to study systematically surrounding rock failure mechanism and instability mode during the Ground pressure activity process, which is quite attributed to selection and design the Ground pressure activity control method. Bases on above consideration, a new analyzing method was introduced this paper, that is, with geological mechanics means and stress testing method to study of mine geological mechanics characteristics and stress distribution rules, explore the factor and time-space distribution laws of Ground pressure activity; in Based on above research, Summarize surrounding rock failure mechanism and instability mode,and then study the Ground pressure control method. Its meaning of technology and society is very important for reduce or avoid the the disaster caused by Ground pressure activity. In this dissertation, several study work have been undertaken, those are as follow:(1)In the mine, to investigate the geological structure conditions and distribution characteristics within the region, find out the faults, joint’s spatial distribution characteristics and the Pressure appeared situation; by using the3GSM measure geometric parameters of the joints; According to the investigation state to take samples of JinChang Mine, on the basis of sample’s experiments to study of the physical and mechanical properties of rock, whic can lay a foundation for the study of Ground pressure activity rules and control method.(2) Determining Ground pressure monitoring scheme and location of monitoring stations, establish Ground pressure monitoring system. With deformation measurement means and stress testing method to study of mine surrounding rock mobile and stress distribution rules, Analysis the causes and changing trends of the Ground pressure activity; And acoustic emission is used to test with the change rules of the rockburst activity with excavation time, so as to determine the level and tendentiousness of rockburst.(3)Using the related theory and based on the field investigation and monitoring conditions to comprehensive analysis the causes and conditions of surrounding rock failure and instability, establish the mutations model of rock gradual failure induced instability, so as to explore rock failure mechanism and instability mode of JinChang Mine, provides the basis for the control of Ground pressure activity.(4) Taking all factors to determine the control method of Ground pressure activity for JinChang Mine, development compatible rock stability analysis and supporting design systems with the mining; to verify the Ground pressure activity Control method by field experiment, and use numerical simulation methods to simulation and optimization the Ground pressure activity control method, Finally make rational support form.
