As the requirements of the quality of the steel is more and more high, so the temperature of the molten steel is required more strictly in continuous casting of steel. It becomes a very urgent problem how to control temperature of molten steel accurately. This paper study the income and loss of energy based on molten steel, lining, slag, alloying and argon blowing in ladle in LF refining process, this paper derived LF refining process temperature model by heat balance principle. According to analysis of the model of temperature, which shows that many of the model parameters and working is difficult to get accurately and change over time, a lot of experience parameters change with the variational working condition. It is very difficult to build an accurate mechanism model for refining process. The LF refining process is divided into two stages by desulfurization. According to the Special process, this paper puts forward a kind of segmentation control method which contains the stage of scorification and the stage of alloying. The stage of scorification has many parameters and working instability and are not accurate by the complex working condition. In order to avoid these problems, the technology of case-based reasoning(CBR) is used to control the temperature of molten steel in the refining process. The parameters and working are more stabile compared with the stage of alloying. In order to control temperature of molten steel this paper calculate the preset power by CBR, then use the temperature prediction model to correct the power.According to the above analysis and calculation, this paper proposed control method is validated, which shows that the calculation results and actual data is very close. The calculation of the error within10%accounts for90%, which is enough to meet the production requirements.
