Reseach On Conductometric Water-content Meter Specially Used In Sinter Mixture

In sintering process, moisture measurement of sinter mixture is always a puzzle for researchers. The main cause is the complex and changeful sintering mixture composition, bad environment and the material will has the phenomenon of heat releasing after adding water, the material surface is foggy, which cause the conventional water meter can not measure the true sinter mixture moisture accurately.The topic uses the sinter mixture moisture measurement as the research object, tries to use the conductivity method to measure the moisture of sinter mixture. The conductance measurement has the advantages of simple circuit design, low cost, strong adaptability, and can effectively overcome the problems such as dust and fog in industrial field.Combined with the industrial environment, the measuring points are seted on the conveyor belt of mixing machine material’s exit, the sensor probe is placed on the surface of the material, which can measure moisture by material friction contact. By a lot of research and field experiments, the conductance sensor fitting in the material conveying belt on the measurement is designed. The sensor is made of low alloy wear-resistant materials and ceramic materials, and it is simple structured and convenient installed.The full set of hardware and software design of the conductance moisture meter have been completed, and real object is created too.The system of hardware circuit uses220V AC power supplied, which can be achieved of the real-time measurement of the sinter mixture moisture content, display and storage and other functions.This paper also designs a variety of communication circuit which can meet a variety of modes of communication needs. On the software side, a modular design and C language programming are used on the next-bit machine program. It illustrates and explains in detail to the program of each function module, and gives corresponding program flow diagram. At the same time, a simple computer data acquisition software is made, which can realize the function of real-time display, storage, and the historical curve to the measurement of moisture and temperature.It has completed the moisture meter static calibration and automatic temperature compensation, and a large number of test to the system performance of the moisture meter is made. The test results show that the water meter has good stability in an industrial environment, can work stably for a long time and effectively overcome the influence on measurement accuracy caused by temperature.The absolute error of the moisture meter is0.25%(The percentage of water content) in the laboratory environment measurement. At the same time, a large number of experiments are made in the industrial field, which provide powerful exploration for the use of conductivity moisture meter in industrial field.
