Zhenzhuchong reservoir of Jiulongshan gas field lies in northwest Cangxi county ofSichuan basin. It is a typical fractured-porous sandstone and conglomerate rock of edge waterreservoir which has characteristics of low porosity and permeability. There is no relevantborrowing ideas for this type reservoir at home. Focusing on the problem of producing waterin reservoir, this paper takes Zhenzhuchong gas reservoir as research object which colligateswith the achievement of predecessors and existed static and performance data of the reservoirmaking overall research on water invasion characteristic and water control countermeasuresused by latest theories and methods in gas reservoir engineering. This research has importantsignificance for the later development of Zhuzhuchong reservoir in Jiulongshan field.Firstly,on the basis of geologic and development characteristics, production water typesare firstly divided by production water of well completion test and production curves. Thedistribution characteristics are researched according to the correlation of sandstonedistribution, fracture distribution and formation water distribution. Secondly, use static andperformance data judging the water invasion manners and calculating water reserves andwater influx. Thirdly, study the effect of water invasion from productivity and dynamicreserves and make control project on the basis of gas-water distribution and water invasioncharacteristics.The research results reveal that Zhenzhuchong reservoir can divide four kinds of waterproduction types including long-term production water, medium-term production water, noproduction water and formation water crossing. The formation water distributioncharacteristics are as follows: the formation water is around the well control district andshowes characteristics of partially enriches(west limb, east and south limb, north limb) andhorizontal discontinuity. Zhenzhuchong gas reservoir is manifested as the characteristics offracture water breakthrough, multidirectional and limited water body energy but active waterbody. Water influx calculation shows that water displacement is too low at this stage. Thewater invasion leads to the QAOFand dynamic reserves decreases by18%~27%and10%~23%respectively. On the basis of above studies, this paper puts forward the watercontrol project of overall water control, positive draining water and step by step to slow thespeed of water invasion and further impairing water bodies energy.
