Twin screw pulping extruder is a new type of pulping equipment,and has the characteristics of the better pulping quality, energy saving, water saving, small impact on the environment.Therefore,it has a broad application prospects, and it is regarded as the third generation of pulping equipment and draw wide attention and recognition by the industry.This paper summarizes the research status of twin screw pulping extruer at first, which focuses on the geometric theory of co-rotating twin-screw design and design methods of twin-screw pulping extruder screw groove, on this basis, proposed research ideas and goals of this article. Then, according to the design requirements, This paper studies the design of large twin-screw pulping extruder screw system to determine the structure of the screw system, the main parameters and materials.Secondly, the paper conducts finite element analysis on large twin-screw pulping extruder screw system. According to the static analysis of the screw spindle, get the maximum stress appears at the stepped shaft of input end while the max displacement is in the first stress section. Through modal analysis, the first and second reverse pressure zone is the weakest part of the screw mandrel, but little impact.The paper makes a finite element analysis on pedestal of large twin-screw pulping extruder machine barrel in the last part, which draws a conclusion that the strength and stability of pedestaling will meet the requirements if the deformation of upper part is bigger than the bottom part and the displacement of back end is bigger than the front end. In addition, the welding pedestaling is designed, compared with casting pedestaling, which quality decreased by36.5%, and stiffness increasedThe paper makes an intensive study of the geometry and design theory of large twin screw pulping extruder, which includes the design of bearings, finite elements analysis of ANSYS soft and improvements on the based on analysis. Thus, the paper may have significance on the improvement of twin screw pulping extruder design and its reliability as well as the design and study of other similar bearings.
