The rapid development in society today, the mechanical manufacturing industry is thecrucial foundation of national industrialization. It makes it a powerful prop and guaranteeof national defense security. But, the industry of machine tool is the basis of mechanicalmanufacturing, and its level determines the latter one’s. In order to improve theperformances of mechanical systems and product qualities, the critical part is to scale themachine tool dynamic performances. This thesis uses three spindle vertical machining center, which is manufactured by AnhuiHongqing Precision Machine Co LTD, as the research object, and the research covers studyand analysis of how to optimize machine tool structures to improve its dynamicperformances, thus to improve product quality. In this thesis, the techniques andmethodologies of establishing the machine tool Finite Element model are studied combinedwith the machining center’s own properties, employing the Finite Element theories and thesoftware ANSYS; the structures of the machining center are also optimized according to theexperimental results. The thesis firstly establishes the Finite Element simulation model of the whole machinein ANSYS combined with its3D models completed in the platform of Solidworks, with thespring damp unit to simulate the interface properties. It simulates the whole machinedynamic properties using modal analysis theories and ANSYS modal analytical division;then we carry out both modal experiments and vibrates experiments on three spindlevertical machining center using, and obtains the experimental results of the dynamicproperties of the machine; in the end, aiming at the weak part of the machining center, thethesis carries out structure optimizing design on spindle box based on the Finite Elementtheories, and compares the dynamic properties before and after optimization throughharmonic response simulations, by this way it verifies the results of the optimization.
