Numerical control machine is an important equipment of modern manufacturing industry, and it’s one of the highest use rates of machine tool industry, its yield and technical level represents a country’s manufacturing capacity and the level of competitiveness to some extent. The rapid development of the industry and market’s supply is not adequate to the demand promote the R&D and production of machining center.With the rapid development of machine tool industry, it requires not only the function of machining center should be diversified and it’s higher machining precision;in the process of machining center ’s dynamic analysis, found the problem and get the solutions is an effective way to improve the processing performance and machining precision of the machining center. Based on the KVC800 vertical machining center as research object, simulation and experiment of static and dynamic characteristics of the key components of the machining center and the whole machine, this paper combines the finite element analysis, modal test and the cutting test, combine theory and practice, the ultimate goal is to optimize the operation of machining center and provide basis for subsequent structural optimization design, improve the precision and reliability of high speed machining center.The work of this thesis includes the following several aspects:1.Take KVC800 vertical machining center as the object, to carry on the entity modeling of the lathe bed, column, spindle box and the table in the Solid Works, then import to Ansys modal analysis. Studied on the material properties, contact setting methods, boundary conditions and mesh of processing center in the finite element analysis. Machining center machine and key components of the natural frequency and vibration mode was obtained through the analysis of the dynamic characteristics. The study also provides a basis for the choice of excitation and response to subsequent modal test.2.The modal test of bed, column, spindle box and table is used on experimental modal analysis method, and studied on test plan, test system and method of determining parameters in the modal test, Study on the modal test of test plan, test system and the method of determining parameters, finally obtained the experimental modal parameters of those four parts, and the results are compared with the finite element modal analysis.3.Carried out its vibration test in speed-up process, and analysis of the waterfall, the burst point corresponded with the finite element modal analysis and experimental modal analysis is found in waterfall. Through the analysis of work piece’s surface roughness after different speed cutting, further verified the resonance effect machining precision by natural frequency obtained in the analysis.KVC800 vertical machining center is advised to avoid 3000 RPM and 3840 RPM spindle speed.
