This thesis deals with the studies of TBHP/I2-mediated one-pot catalytic oxidative synthesis of N-containing heterocyclic compounds. It consists three chapters.In the first chapter, it mainly includes two parts. Firstly, the recent progress on TBHP/transition-metal mediated catalytic oxidative reaction and synthesis is briefly reviewed. Secondly, the recent progress on TBHP/I2and TBHP/TBAI mediated transition-metal free catalytic oxidative organic reaction and synthesis is briefly reviewed.In the second chapter, we report an efficient and practical transition metal free catalytic oxidative reaction to synthesis of asymmetric2,5-disubstituted oxadizoles and2,5-disubstituted thiadiazoles using aldehydes and benzohydrazides and benzothiohydrazides, respectively, as the commercial available starting materials and iodine as the catalyst and TBHP as the terminal oxidant.In the third chapter, the TBHP/I2catalytic oxidative system was applied to synthesis of3-substituted-[1,2,4]triazolo[4,3-a]pyridines by a one-pot reaction of aldehydes with2-hydrazinylpyridines. This chemistry provides an efficient and practical transition metal free approach to synthesis such bioactive heterocycles in excellent yields.
