CB-6semi-regenerative reforming catalysts and R-234continuous reforming catalysts used by refinery enterprise were characterized by X-ray powder diffraction, thermal gravity, X-ray fluorescence and transmission electron microscope. Via comparing the differences of structure and composition between the semi-regenerative and continuous reforming catalysts, the reason for the improvement of catalytic performance was explained.1.8×106T/a continuous catalytic reforming unit data by Dalian Fujia Company was studied. The properties of raw materials, operating parameters and the product conversion was changed. The influence of operating conditions on the catalytic performance was analyzed, and that of long period operation on the catalyst was studied. Meanwhile, along with the prolonging of reaction time, the changing of surface area, particle mechanical strength, impurity content, chloride and water balance control, coke rate and changes of Pt dispersion degree, and the possible influence and restriction on the performance of catalyst were studied. The main results are shown as follows:1. It can be seen that from the TG curves, there are amorphous carbon formed at low temperature and graphite carbon at the surface and pore of catalyst formed at high temperature in both of semi regenerated catalyst and continuous. At the same time, the carbon depositing rate of catalyst is effectively reduced by decreasing the content of Pt in continuous reforming and introducing the Sn instead of Re; and the continuous reforming catalyst specific surface area is more stable than the semi regenerated catalyst; by means of transmission electron microscopy can be found that the dispersion of Pt on regenerated and chlorinated catalyst is obviously better than before.2. It can be shown that from the actual operation data, the continuous reforming catalyst activity is proportionate to the temperature. The continuous reforming catalyst AR501produced by Axens maintain good performance in the end of its life after running1655days. The operation condition and the impurity content in raw materials were controlled in the range of impact on the catalyst. Catalyst specific surface area and particle mechanical strength were maintained high standards. It need to pay attention to the balance control of chlorine and water, keep the chloride content of the catalyst in a suitable range.
