Reactive dyes are the most important dye for dyeing cellulose fibers, and accounting for nearly40%of the global dyes which are used for dyeing cellulose fibers every year. The biggest problem plagued researchers is that the reactive dyes have low utilization, which is only50%-70%. The appearance of crosslinking dyes put a way out for high fixation. Polyamine crosslinking dyes have good solubility as well as good prospects. In this thesis, a series of poly(acrylamide-co-vinylamine) self-crosslingking dye was synthesized. The effect of temperature, pH, the feeding speed on the dyeing properties of the dyes were studied in detail and the optimal reaction condition were found. The self-crosslinking dyes were used for dyeing cotton. High fixation could be achieved through covalent bonds between these dyes and cotton fibers without crosslinking agent.Poly(acrylamide-co-vinylamine) with75%amino content was synthesized by Hofmann reaction of polyacrylamide with sodium hypochlorite. At the same time the polymer chain could be broken in the process in the presence of NaOH of high concentration, so that the molecular weight of the product ranged from2000to3000. The structures of the compounds were characterized by GPC, FTIR, TLC and UV-visible spectra.Three chromogens R, B, Y containing dichlorotriazine group were synthesized by diazotization and coupling reaction from cyanuric chloride and H-acid and pyrazolone acid. The structures of the compounds were characterized by FTIR, UV-visible spectra and TLC.Three macromoleculor self-crosslinking dye R1, Bl, Yl were synthesized by grafting reaction of poly(acrylamide-co-vinylamine) with the three chromagens R, B, Y separately. High grafting ratios of30%~35%(the utilization of amino can be40%~47%) were achieved by contralling of reaction condition. Three macromoleculor self-crosslinking dyes R2, B2, Y2were synthesized by grafting reaction of poly(acrylamide-co-vinylamine) with the three chromagens R, B, Y and another crosslinking group separately. The structures of the compounds were characterized by FTIR, UV-visible spectra and TLC.The macromoleculor self-crosslinking dyes were used for dyeing cotton using two dip two rolling dyeing process.the fixation of these dyes on cotton fibers reached about88%-92.8%.
