Diosgenin is a precursor substance for the production of steroid hormone drug from Dioscorea zingiberensis C.H.Wright (DZW). At present the industry diosgenin produce commonly use the method of direct acid hydrolysis, by which wastewater and waste residue produce not only waste resources and bring great damage to environment. A new industrial eco-friendly process of diosgenin production was researched in this paper.It’s studied the effect of grinding on diosgenin yield With DZW as raw material, and the result of the experiment determined the suitable time for the colloid grinder grinding is35min. There is an extraction efficiency increasing for diosgenin from0.51%to0.72%during the treatment unused and used colloid grinder.The composite emulsifiers, vegetable oil and diosgenin oil solution for auxiliary reagents were chose, and at first their effects on dioscin in water distribution were researched. Results showed that the method R-1dioscin quantity didn’t performance regular changes. However, the Method R-2diosgenin quantity had an obvious increasing, rising from0.139mg/ml when the HLB value of4to0.365mg/ml when the HLB value of15.6, but supernatant of the water extraction after centrifugal dioscin quantity change is not obvious. Then effect of the composite emulsifiers’quantity on distribution in water of dioscin was researched, and the results showed that:when emulsifier content is1.5%, dioscin in the corresponding solution get the highest content. Secondly, soybean blend oil was chose for study the relations between oil additive amount and distribution in water of dioscin. The results show that the method O-1and method O-2has a same conclusion:dioscin in water extraction obtain maximum value when oil additive amount is3%. Diosgenin content in samples for the former was increased0.047mg/ml than the control, and diosgenin content in samples for the latter improved0.133mg/ml compared with control. Moreover, our experiments showed that when room temperature is22degrees, the solubility of diosgenin in oil is.less than or equal to1.5%. And then it was researched the relations d between diosgenin oil solution concentration and distribution in water of dioscin, when it’s added content of3%. Experiment results showed that diosgenin oil solution concentration of1.5%can maximize dioscin content in the supernatant of water extract after standing. At last, choosing ZTC Ⅱ type natural clarifying agent, taking small amount of samples after centrifugal by a tubular centrifuge in pilot experiment, a test for clarification effects was done. The results showed that the agent can clarify the emulsion shaped pulp into separated clear liquid and precipitation.On the basis of previous research, a eco-friendly production technology was established, which is used water as the mainly solvent, colloid mill for auxiliary equipment and vegetable oil as auxiliary reagents, and a pilot test with fresh DZW as raw material was made. The results showed that diosgenin yield was0.67%, which is obviously improved than the traditional production process of0.47%.And starch yield is11.33%.The new process produce less waste than old method.
