With the rapid development of society, people have been paying high attention to the recycling of the secondary fibers. Flotation deinking is the key link of recycling secondary fibers. However in the process of flotation deinking, the loss of fibers is inevitable, how to improve the effect of deinking and to reduce the loss of fibers as far as possible, which is an urgent problem to be solved.Reed pulp, needle pulp, deinked old newspaper pulp and old newspaper pulp were chose as experimental material, researching the influence of surface active agent, flotation temperature, flotation time, pulp consistency, and every condition selected5levels for the conditional experiment. The situations of fibers’loss were researched for four kinds of pulp during flotation under the addition of CTAB and AEO-9. Finally the residual situations of surface active agent in the four kinds of pulp were measured during the process of flotation using standard curve of surfactant and surface tension. The relation of fibers loss with residual surface active agent、zeta potential and the cationic demand of pulp were researched by measuring the three indicators, analyzing the reasons of fibers loss.The experimental results show that:(1) the addition of surfactant, the pulp consistency, flotation time, flotation temperature all have some influence on the fibers loss, more obvious for the surfactant. The maximum of fibers loss of reed pulp, needle pulp, deinked old newspaper pulp and old newspaper pulp is respectively6.531%,6.344%,4.375%,2.575%.(2)The pulp loss of reed pulp and needle pulp is more than the ONP and deinked ONP, the deinked ONP is the least.(3) For different kinds of pulp’s flotation, the fiber loss go up gradually with the temperature’s rising, the most fiber loss is6.084%for the needle pulp when the temperature is70℃.(4)During the process of flotation, the percentage of fine fiber of fiber loss increases with the march of flotation and the fine fiber mainly is floated at the late of flotation. The percentage of fine fiber of fiber loss is respectively76.349%,89.316%,96.693%,85.246%for the four kinds of pulp with the process experiments.(5) The experiment for the properties of serous fluid shows that the less surface tension is, the more the fiber loss is.
