In the world, the regular production of ultimate recovery is generally only accountedfor30%~40%of the underground crude oil with the primary and secondary oil recovery.Residual oil still accounts for60%~70%in leave behind. So how to enhance oil recovery andproduce more oil from underground has been to study in many countries of the world.This paper introduces present development status of microbial flooding of tertiary oilrecovery and the advantages. Considering Baiyushan area of Changqing Oilfield, total watercut rising significantly after2009, rapidly decline of daily oil production and averagereservoir water to the actual production situation of more than60%,9contiguous waterinjection well groups have been screened through indoor experiment and outdoor trackingeffect, achieved remarkable results: efficient oil displacement strain breeding technology,forming a set of perfect assessment technology of oil displacement of microorganisms andtheir metabolic products and improving the understanding of microbial flooding in lowpermeability reservoirs.This paper mainly introduces the geological condition of test area and production of9test wells group, according to the analysis of indigenous microorganism laboratory evaluationtechnology in Baiyushan area and flooding field test results.The final conclusionis thatmicrobial flooding in Baiyushan area is effect, which increases the output of crude oil,finallyto enhance oil recovery.
