In our daily life, we can see aluminous products everywhere, such as beverage cans automotive outer panel and battery skins and so on. Rapid technological advances in recent years, with aluminous strip is increasingly high demanded with society, and its needs is growing. Aluminous strip play an increasingly important role in the strip rolling. How to further improve the accuracy of strip rolling and improve product equality is the current challenge to be solved.The traditional flatness and gauge control is acting on their own independent control. But after rolling precision reaches a certain level, the coupling between the two control modes is particularly evident, destroying the balance of control system, hindering further improve the accuracy of rolling. In this paper, two important indicators for the aluminous strip-flatness and gauge. The main study content is described as follows:In practical rolling process, flatness and gauge control are not just for a role in the controlled object, but there is a coupling relationship. The two control modes are analyzed as a whole in this article, establishing shape and gauge integrated control dynamic model and simulating with Matlab by model analysis. Analysis and verify whether there is coupling exist in control modes and coupling level; Decoupling integrated control system with invariance principle. Using Smith compensator and traditional PID controller control the two decoupled subsystems separately. Observing the decoupling effect via simulation; When the system model mismatch, the application of traditional PID controller can not be satisfied with the control effect. Therefore, the analysis of fuzzy control theory, design a fuzzy parameter self-tuning PID controller to control the mismatched system model. The simulation result shows that the control effect of fuzzy PID controller is better than conventional controller, solves the problem of shape and gauge coupling.
