With the continuous progress of science and technology and the rapiddevelopment of modern industrial technology, sheet steel specifications, varieties,yield and quality requirements are increasing. The flatness and gauge of sheet steel aretwo of the extremely important quality indicators. So the control measure to make thesheet steel to obtain more ideal flatness and gauge become a hot issue in the field ofrolling. In this paper, in order to solve the AFC-AGC problem, starting from themechanism model of rolling, proposed the flatness and gauge integrated control basedon influence matrix method and made a further theoretical study and computersimulation, made new achievements.At first, this paper makes a deep research on the mechanism of the rolling processmodel, the article using the variational method to solve the metal plastic deformation,using influence function method to solve the elastic deformation of roll, andconsidering the effect of tilting roll factors. Coupled integration through the two model,can solve the front tension stress, rolling pressure, stress between roller and exitthickness transverse distribution accurately and quickly, on the basis of it, can analyzeall kinds of flatness and gauge control means for flatness and gauge of sheet steel.Then introduce the details of how to establish the influence matrix of flatness andgauge integrated control of sheet steel. Through down regulating mechanism model isobtained, the influence coefficient of rolling reduction, tilting roll, bending roll tolinear flatness, quadratic flatness and gauge can be got. The influence matrix can beestablished by using the influence coefficient. The influence matrix of flatness andgauge integrated control can be obtained by matrix inversing.Finally, apply the influence matrix of flatness and gauge integrated control in fourhigh rolling mill, set up flatness and gauge integrated control scheme of four high mill.By C++programming, simulate the control effect to the deviations caused by differentincoming material’s gauge, crown and wedge fluctuations by using the influencematrix of flatness and gauge integrated control. Simulation results show that the proposed control method possesses the advantages of fast response and high precision,provides a new method for integrated control of flatness and gauge.
