With the high-speed development of economy, the study of nano biomass materials as fillers tomodify polymer composite, had become more and more attention by the researchers both at home andabroad. And NCF not only keep all the characteristics of the cellulose, and at the same time have manyadvantages of nanomaterials, using NCF as strengthening phase, the preparation of a new type ofcomposite material has become one of hotspots in the field of the contemporary study of cellulose. The paper takes NCF/MUFcomopsite as the research object, using unmodified NCF, KH550modified NCF, carboxymethylated modification NCF as enhancement phase, to prepare comopsitematerials by physical blending method, and also using MUF resin modified NCF as well material, asphase change materials as the core, to prepare nanocapsulated phase change materials by in-situpolymerization.the thermal stability, mechanical properties, interface compatibility, and energy storageperformance were characterized with Fourier Transform(FT-IR), differential scanning calorimetry (DSC)and dynamic mechanical analysis (DMA), field emission electron microcopy(FE-SEM),thermogravimetric analyzer (TGA) and X-ray diffraction (XRD).The following results werer obtained:⑴FT-IR spectra showed that KH550modification, carboxymethylated modification had effect onthe NCF,they are effectively grafted or coated to the surface of NCF.Two methods have reduced thepolarity and hydrophilicity of NCF, the interfacial compatibility of NCFand MUF resin was improved.⑵The initial decomposition temperature of NCF modified MUF resin was decreased, and theresidual weight were increased with increasing weight content of NCF. The curing reaction enthalpy ofthe compostites were increased.⑶Storage modulus of NCF modified MUF resin were increased with increasing weight content ofNCF. The most obvious increasing storage modulus of composite was the KH550modifed NCF/MUFresin compostie.⑷Bonding strength thest results show that the adding amount of NCF had remarkable effect on thebond strength of MUF resin suppuresion poplar plywood, especially KH550modifed NCF. After curingNCF/MUF adhesive’s pore and surface drape were decreased significantly, which weas beneficialc toform dense rubber.⑸After NCF modification, the initial decomposition temperature of phase change materials isslightly increased, the phase transition enthalpy and mechanical strength of phase change materials werealso improved. When adding1.5wt%NCF, NCF can be dispersed evently in the wall materials ofmicrocapsule, the phase change enthalpy of MUF storage materials was61.20J/g, which microcapsulepackage content was increased from50.1%to50.1%, breakage rate was decreased from30.2%to24.5%.
