CNC machine tooles are the basis of the equipment manufacturing industry. With thedevelopment of technology and the intensifying of international competition, functionalcomposite becomes a major development direction of hotspot of the current researchesat home and abroad. Box-type part is kind of most importance in machiningfield.especially on aviation、military project、vessel、machine tool、vehicles and rail. The accuracy and efficiency of manufacturing directly resulted the product quality andcost. So researching and developing this kind machine center is a key to question. In this article, researches were carried out on the milling part of the compositemachining center.analyzed machining errors and based on the basic principle ofmulti-body system kinematics, the milling structure part of the composite machiningcenter. It described the toplogical structure of multi-body system. the composingmethod and how to be characterstic matrixes. It built the volumetric error model. In thestructure of the composite milling-boring machine tool, the beam suffered tool boxweight and passed the milling force. The article accordings to the operation condition ofprocessing parts and machining center design requirements, built three-dimensionaldigital models for the whole part. Researched the force distribution and deformationcondition of the beam, built the finite element model on simulations software. Thearticle analyzed the static and mode simulations, carried out the multiple positionsdiagram. The article also conducted a mass-reduction R&D accordings to formerdiagram, presenting a reference for the actual design of beam. Finally, the article introduced the manifold methods to compensate the cross beamdeformation of machine tools, and introduced the method of adopting prestressing.Through contrasting analysis we got the conclusion that the method of adoptingprestressing is effectual.
