Basalt fiber’s comprehensive performance is very excellent, which is fit for for making filter material. Its excellent high temperature performance, chemical stability and antistatic properties play important roles in the area of filter material. On the above basis, this topic discussed about the best technological parameter of basalt fiber filter material and better performance of the final product than others.The main topic is to develop a new type of high-temperature basalt fiber composite filter material. The main contents are as follows. First, the property of basalt fiber and glass fiber is researched such as strength, elongation, density, lineat density, high-temperature performance, and acid and alkali resistance. Second, in the product developmenting, excogitate the mixing ration of fiber rawmaterials, the way of forming fiber network, the way of reinforcement and the way of finishing treatment. By a large number of exploring experiment, we determine that the mixing ration of fiber rawmaterials is50/50(BF/GL), the way of forming fiber network is carding, the way of reinforcement is needle-puntchedd and the way of finishing treatment are singring, calendaring,PTFE imprgnation,wanter-and-oil-repellent finish.The specific are as follows:(1)this product selects basalt fiber and glass fiber as rawmaterials,their mixing ration is50/50;(2)the products use carding as network forming,and gets the optimal values with orthogonal test:the mixing ration of fibers is50/50;drafting speed ration is1.1;the number of nets is10.(3)the product is reinforced by needing.By single factor experiments,study out the relationships between properties of products and needling numbers,needling frequency,needling depth and needle density. By orthogonal tests, we reach the optimal parameters are that needling numbers are4,needling frequency is599.1times/min,needling depth is9mm and needle density is570.6needls/cm2.(4)By the fininsh treatments,the properties of product change as follows:depth declines,surface density increases,strength increases a little.Third,by contrast text with the other three like products,we find the performance benefits of needling reinforcing basalt fiber composite filter material are:(1)basalt fiber felt is the most massive,but the uniformity of the strength between MD/CD is the worst.(2)the permeability and filter efficiency is the best.By the same time,pore diameter distribution is the most uniformal.(3)the grade of water-and-oil-repellent is the highest,5. (4)thermal endurance is the best.(5)its acid resintance is very nearly the same with the other three,but its alkli resistance is better than the others.Needling reinforcing basalt fiber composite filter material has a certain significance. Compared with other three like products, the surface of material is more smooth and flat, pore size distribution is more close, filtration efficient is higher,acid and alkli resisntance is better,and thermal endurance more excellent. So the product is suitable for acid environment in high temperature.
