Squaraines compounds have attracted great interests due to its special optical properties and potential applications in biomaterials, photoelectric materials and heavy metal analysis. In this paper, novel Squaraines-based functional polyacetylenes were designed and prepared, and the relationship between structure and properties was systematically studied. The main contents of this thesis include the following points:1. The development, main synthetical methods, and their applications of functional polyacetylenes were reviewed systematically.2. Three quinoline derivatives respectively with substituted group of bromine, alkynol, alkyne were designed and synthesized. Their structures and properties were characterized and evaluated by EA, IR and’H-NMR, UV-vis spectroscopy, TGA and DSC, respectively. The results show the red-shift of absorption peak wavelength and absorption intensity enhancement with the increase of π-conjugation length.3. A novel quinoline-based polyacetylenes (P1) was synthesized with a quinoline-based acetylene. In order to improve the solubility of polymer, quinoline-based acetylene was copolymerized with phenylacetylene and polymer (P2) was obtained. The optical and thermal properties were systematically studied, and the results display that both the resultant copolymers have good thermal stability enhanced absorption in UV-Vis region.4. A novel quinoline-based semisquaraine was synthesized, and its structure was characterized by EA, IR and1H-NMR. Then functional polyacetylene with near-infrared absorbing was synthesized by reaction of quinoline-based semisquaraine and P2. In the end, functional polyacetylene with broadband absorbing properties and ladderlike structure was prepared by controlling the reaction time and varying the feed ratio between squaric acid and P2. The forming mechanism was investigated by absorption spectroscopy method.
