In this thesis, we select HNBR peroxide vulcanization system as the researchsubject, in order to examin the influence of different coagents which have differentstructure on the curing characteristics, processing performance, physical andmechanical properties, and aging properties of HNBR vulcanizated with filled andunfilled system respectively. The crosslink density and curing kinetic parameters weredetermine by model fitting.It is found that, in the unfilled system, all the investigated coagents can improvethe rubber processing performance, increase the crosslinking density, improve thecompression deformation and tensile properties effectively. Comparing the coagentswith different reactive functional groups, it can be seen that processing performance,tensile properties and compression set of samples with SR350is better than SR351;The sample with SR351has a higer crosslink density and more uniform network.Coagent with different side chain length improve processing performance, but as thenumber of ethoxy groups in the side chain increase, processing performance decrease.Comparing the contribution value of crosslinking density, found that contribution valueto crosslinking density of SR351is the largest. The starting reactivity of SR351is thebest, as the increase of side chain after adding ethoxy groups, starting lower reactivity.Determine the appropriate amount of coagents and compare the properties offilled system with different coagents which have different active functional group.Coagents can improve the rubber processing performance, increase the crosslinkingdensity, improve the compression deformation and tensile properties effectively.Thesample with SR351has a better compression set than SR350, but lower agingresistance. The coagents with different side chain length in filled system improveprocessing performance, and as the number of ethoxy groups in the side chain increase,processing performance increase. Besides, coagents can improve the crosslink density of the filled HNBR system. The compression set and oil resistance of SR415is the bestin the filled system. The aging resistance of SR454is the best.
