This research project is derived from2012Shandong special research and development of environmental protection "The key technology research of municipal sewage plant sludge biotechnology".As the rapid development of economy and the developing of urbanization of our country, the amount of sewage water treatment gets more and more, so the capacity of sludge is more and more big as well. The problem that sludge causes is becoming an important factor of environment hazards, so the problem of sludge is to be solved urgently. The sludge biodrying has showed the good technical advantages as well as the application prospect as an new technology of energy-saving and environmental friendly.This paper carried out the theoretical research on sludge biodrying, summarizes the source, classification, properties, the way of treatment and so on. Analyzed and compared the way of sludge dewatering, and get the conclusion that biodrying has its technical advantage and apply prospect. And carried out the single factor experiment of sludge biodrying, analyzed the basic properties of the sludge from Jinan sewage treatment plant, using the self-designed and self-making biodrying reactors to carry out the experiment of influence on effect of biodrying through biodrying reactor, and made improvement of reactor. Researched the influence of the type and ratio of bulking agents for sludge biodrying effect, the study shows that the wheat-straw as bulking agent is more efficient than the sawdust, which can increase the temperature of pile more quickly, and the biodegradability is better than the sawdust, the optimum ratio of sludge and wheat-straw is5:1(w/w). The study of the influence of air flow rate on biodrying effect shows that the air flow rate shall be within0.04~0.08m3h-1kg-1.The effects of inoculation on biodrying effect shows that the inoculation group was significantly greater than the group which is not inoculated, and the effect of biodrying is better. At last, the research on the thermal equilibrium analysis was carried out, using the formulas and the basis monitoring date for calculation and analysis. Then found the heat and heat distribution regulation, it showed that the heat generated by the microorganism were used mainly for making water into steam and with ventilation with the pile, accounting for69.17%of the total heat generation; additionally, to remain the pile of high temperature was also a big part of heat utilization.The study of biodrying can provide a reference and basis for further research and application of biodrying, and it will also provide a method for solving the problem of sludge reduction.
