In this paper, taking the roof work and surface deformation of16-3upper’s firstmining face coal of Mindong coal mine as study object, numerical simulated thedeformation. Analyses the geological conditions at first, selecting reasonable physicaland mechanical parameters. Used FLAC3D simulated the roof work and surfacedeformation of mined16-3upper01workface. Used Surfer software draw the maps ofthe results of simulation. Comparative analysis of numerical simulation data andmeasured data to determine the reasonableness of the simulation process.Calculated roof rock deformation of mined16-3upper01workface by numericalsimulating, combined with the actual situation to choose the mining plan that threedifferent simulated mining height. And determined3m,6m,9m mining height’s cavingzone and water conducted zone height. In this paper, used scientific analysis softwareMATLAB made fitting and regression with the simulation data, studied the deformationlaw of the roof rook and surface. Analysis calculated the optimal fit function. For fittingfunction analysis, combined with the actual mining process, get the actual mining offunctional equations represent certain characteristics, resulting in a regular deformationcharacteristics.
