The study is to see impact to tapes’ properties by different percentages of hBN which severs as insulating and heating transfer filler. A pressure sensitive adhesive tape for insulating and heat spreading was prepared using constant acrylic adhesive formula (with x-link already) and hexagonal boron nitride as functional additive. Tape properties are mainly focus on micro shear, holding power, surface conductivity, volume conductivity, peel adhesion, ball tack and heat spreading properties. Those experiments are conducted and result was analyzed by DoE (design of experiment).Result reveal tape adhesion properties are comparable, surface conductivity increased from E+11to E+12level and heat spreading property are4.8℃at13.6%hBN percentage.
