All the time, coordination polymers have attracted much attention because of the diversity of its structure and the novelty of its function. In this thesis, a series of oxygen-bridged multi-titanium complexes and other complexes without titanium have been synthesized using titanium salts, sulfobenzoate (sb) ligands and N-donor neutral ligands as raw materials.15novel complexes are obtained. All these complexes have been characterized by X-ray single crystal structure analysis and IR. Seven of them have been further characterized by elemental analysis, thermo gravimetric analysis, UV-vis, fluorescence and XRD. In addition, these seven complexes are studied as catalysts in MPS (methyl phenyl sulfide) oxygenation reaction. With different structures and properties of these complexes, this thesis mainly divided into the following three aspects to discuss.1.Six sb/2,2’-bipy or mbipy complexes have been obtained including five octo-titanium complexes (1-5) and one dititanium complex (6). Complexes1-4are cation-anion species with the counter ion sb2-(Hsb-) or Cl-or OH-in the structure. In addition, complexes1-4and6are characterized by IR, elemental analysis, thermo gravimetric analysis, UV-vis, fluorescence and MPS catalytic oxygenation. Octo-titanium complexes, which act as homogeneous catalysts, display satisfactory efficiency in MPS oxygenation, such as, the amount of catalyst is less; conversion and selectivity for sulfoxide are all over95%; the reaction time for achieving wonderful catalytic effect is within twenty minutes. Due to extremely unstable, complex5immediately turns into white powder in the air, so we don’t further research it.2.Three sb/phen complexes have been obtained containing two octo-titanium complexes (7-8) and one mono-titanium complex (9). complexes8and9are characterized by IR, elemental analysis, thermo gravimetric analysis, UV-vis, fluorescence and MPS catalytic oxygenation. As the same, the octo-titanium complexe8has given wonderful catalytic performance. Because it’s hard to get ideal crystal, complex7turns into white solid in the mother liquor for two days, so we don’t further research it.3.In the process of synthesis of titanium complexes, we accidentally get a series of excluding titanium compounds. We have analysed their structure, synthesis process and IR.
