After many years development of water-flooding, reservoir pore structure andpermeability of Huabei Oilfield has undergone great changes. The contradiction between thelayers or in the layer is further exacerbated. High permeability and the seepage advantagechannels are come into being. The situation of water flooding and the distribution ofremaining oil have become increasingly complex. It is very difficult to keep a stableproductivity.It not only greatly affect the degree of recovery of crude oil, but also increasedthe cost of oil production. The water channel or high permeability sandstone formation mustbe blocked for enhancing oil recovery. Water injection well profile control technology as aneffective means to reduce the well water content and enhanced oil recovery, has become thekey to sustainable development.In the full researching profile technology applications of Xiliu10block for many years,we found that due to the high temperature of the reservoir characteristics, the used profilesystem’s stability was weak, increasing oil production profile after the precipitation is noteffective. So in this paper, we optimize the formula of profile control system and evaluateevery element which can affect gel ability. Finally we get the reasonable formulaconcentration: the concentration of polymer TYX-B (the formula weight is15million, thedegree of hydrolysis is25%) is2500mg/l, the concentration of crosslinker is0.25%, theconcentration of additive is0.25%. Then the core flow experiments have proved thatthis system has good plugging effect on the high permeability reservoir. Then the field profilecontrol parameters were optimized, we got the best injection rate and slug. Finally, the profilecontrol system for the field application in Xiliu10block of Huabei Oilfield, the results showthat the system is well adapted to high temperature of the reservoir characteristics. Toimprove the injection pressure greatly, improve the water injection profile of injectionwell, see the good effect of increasing oil and decreasing water, greatly enhance the oilrecovery, for the future in this area for water injection profile control operation has a veryimportant guiding role.
