Calcium Silicate, an inorganic powder, has potential applications because of its high specific surface area. Morphology analysis of Calcium Silicate produced in different crafts did by scanning electron microscopy, indicated than producing crafts have effect on the structure of Calcium Silicate. Pick up two kind of Calcium Silicate with much difference in structure for the latter experiments. Through FTIR, found there were some hydroxyl groups on the surface of Calcium Silicate. Calcium Silicate treated with titanium ester coupling agent NDZ-311W, silane coupling agent KH-570, organosilicon surface conditioner4600A, stearic acid and polyethylene wax. Silane coupling agent KH-570could decrease the water absorption of Calcium Silicate, and calcium silicate modified with2phr stearic acid, the activation index could increase to100%. Study properties of Calcium Silicate/natural rubber composites in different usage and modification methods of Calcium Silicate. Results showed that Calcium Silicate had a poor reinforcement to natural rubber. Though Calcium Silicate has high specific surface area, the dispersion in natural rubber is very poor, which would limit its reinforcement. Treated with stearic acid is not good than unmodified. Design experiments of Calcium Silicate/carbon black in different ratios filled NR and recycling NR, as a consequence the reinforcement effect of Calcium Silicate was less than carbon black and white carbon for NR, while results is contrary in recycling natural rubber.
