Application Technology Research Of The Ethylene Rubber Filled With Active Microporous Calcium Silicate

Microporous calcium silicate possesses excellent adsorption capacity due to their honey structure and high specific surface area, which endow them wit h potential applications in the rubber reinforcing filed. In our work, we have a nalyzed the morphologies of calcium silicate with different type, and addresse d with the cases with type of L(CSH-L) and 21#(CSH-21). This paper studies the dosage ratio of silica and calcium silicate on the performance of ethylene propylene rubber.Results showed that with the increasing content of calcium silicate, curing time of Rubber mixings of EPDM is reduced gradually, the calcium silicate vulcanization of EPDM speed has an obvious role in promoting.But the dosage of calcium silicate of EPDM had a poor reinforcement to scorch time.Thetensile strength, elongation at break,hardness,permanent deformationand tear strength of EPDM have been gradually decreasing with the increase of calcium silicate content. The effect of reinforcement of calcium silicate of EPDM was only about a quarter of silica.Density and hardness of the aged vulcanizates of EPDM are increased, while the tensile strength, elongation at break decreased significantly. Inaddition,design a group of experiments to study the influence of the kinds of EPDM, the usage of vulcanizing agent DCP, types and contents of reinforcing agents(carbon black N330 、 N660 、 calcium silicate) to the mechanical properties of EPDM. Results showed that the grades of EPDM have a significant influence on tensile strength, trouser tear strength, elongation at break, permanent deformation. The optimal content of DCP is 5phr in EPDM.And black carbon N330 has better reinforcing effect for EPDM than N660 and mipor calcium silicate, and the optimal content of N330 is 50 phr.Then design another group experiments base on the analysis of test data, and found the recipe satisfied the national standard.
