Study Of Oil-water Interface Measurement Technique

Oil is one of the most important energy materials in today’s world, however, it is an extremely complicated process that oil from mining, refining and separating, and then the production of industrial and consuming life. Crude oil mined from oil wells need sent to the oil-water separator. Because the desenty of oil and water is different in the separation tank, there is a water layer, an oil layer and an air layer because of gravity, existing an oil-water interface. In order to measure and control the process of oil/water separation, the exact measurement of oil-water interface should be researched. Because of the complexity of oil-water interface in the separation tank, it is difficult to achieve the ideal examination precision. This project is facing this disquisition, and designing the system of oil-water interface measurement,based on the sectional type capacitance sensor.First of all, this paper introduce the background of oil-water interface detection and the development of current situation in both nation and oversea briefly. Then, this paper introduce the examination principles of oil-water interface and its systemic structure in detail, both hardware and software design for the whole system. The section of hardware design mainly includes the examination circuit of small capacitance, the data collecting and processing circuit, the RS-485communication circuit, the plate change controlling circuit and the circuit of display. The software design mainly includes the initialization program, the sampling program of AD, the algorithm of oil-water interface judging program and the design of person-computer communication interface. Finally, this paper get the experimental data though experiment. Analyzing and summarizing the data, it is proved that the method of oil-water interface detecting based on sectional type capacitance sensor applicated in this project is feasible.The characteristics^f this paper is the design of sectional type capacitance sensor and the capacitance detection circuit,and put forward the algorithm of oil-water interface measurement, based on sectional type capacitance sensor.
