The development course of atmospheric pollutants emission inventory is reviewed,based on the definitude of limitations of the uncertainty of the source emission factor and the corresponding source activity data to the uncertainty of atmospheric pollutants emission inventory,summarized research advances in atmospheric pollutants emission factor from stationary source.Eventually the deficiencies still existing in the domestic and international field are pointed out:that all emission factors are mostly learn from studies abroad in the process of establishing national emission inventory and the serious deficiency of source emission factors measured actually lead to large uncertainty in the results;that source emission inventory is mostly total emission and interannual variability in the process of establishing a list with little regard to the seasonly,monthly and daily variable characteristic of source emission inventory results in these inventories are limited when applied to air quality model to simulation;there are differences in source activity levels and the method of emission factors calculaed considered in the process of establishing inventory existing,yet there is no unified inventory preparation specifications to guide the establishment of source inventory.Air pollutants emission inventory is a key to understand the spatial and temporal distribution of atmospheric pollutants and to accurately simulate the ambient air quality. Emission inventories of air pollutants established before exhibited limitation on spatial and temporal resolution which greatly influence the accuracy of the numerical prediction of air quality. With stationary sources considered, this study analyzed the total emissions and monthly variation of main pollutants from major stationary sources with2012as the basic year by collecting realtime monitoring data for power plants and atmospheric verifiable accounting tables of Jiangsu Province, emission factors in relevant documents. Results showed that the emission amounts of SO2、 NOX、 TSP、PMi10、 PM2.5. CO、EC、OC、NMVOC and NH3were106.0kt,278.3kt,40.9kt,32.7kt,21.7kt,582.0kt,1.4kt,36.1kt,17.3kt and2.2kt, respectively. They presented monthly variable characteristic with high emissions in February, March, July, August and December and low emissions in September and October. The reason may be that in order to satisfy the needs for heat and electricity power in cold and hot period, more coal were consumed which leads to the increase of pollutants. Local emission factors are needed for emission inventories study and the monthly variation should be considered when emission inventories were used in air quality simulation.The influential contribution of surrounding sources of pollution is one of the key links to be solved by urban atmospheric environmental pollutant decisions,determining the air pollutant source areas is an important part faced by air quality assurance in Youth Olympic Games in August in2014in Nanjing.In this paper,to study a long sequence of observations of atmospheric pollutants in August from2003to2014in Nanjing,a ten-years simulation was carried by WRF-FLEXPART.Namely ordering NCEP/NCAR reanalysis meteorological data as initial and boundary value of mesoscale meteorological model WRF simulation,WRF model outputs fine meteorological field to drive Lagrangian three-dimensional particle transport model(FLEXPART).Through simulating and analyzing backwards trajectories of ten-years atmospheric particles contributing to atmospheric pollution in August in Nanjing,the boundary of the surrouding source area impacting major atmospheric pollutants in different transmission time in Nanjing was diagnosed.And the interannual variability of surrounding pollutant source area was quantitatively estimated,so that the climatic characteristics of atmospheric pollutants surrounding source area impacting air quality in Youth Olympics Games in Nanjing were determined.The sources which have the strongest impact on air quality in Nanjing are mainly in Nanjing and its immediate surrounding areas of North and South ribbon(the south of Jiangsu and the southeast of Anhui),and it remains basically unchanged for many years in August.With three transmission time(12h,24h and48h) increases,the spatial variable general form impacting atmospheric sources in Nanjing expands irregularly in different directions ordering Nanjing and its immediate surrounding area as a strong center.With the range irregularly extended in all directions increases,the influential contribution of surrounding sources gradually reduce generally. The sources of pollution within transmission time of48h which has a greater impact on air quality in Nanjing mainly are distributed in the southeast of Nanjing(the south of Jiangsu,Shanghai and the north of Zhejiang),the southwest of Nanjing(the south of Anhui,the northeast of Jiangxi and the northeast of Hubei) and the northeast and east of Nanjing(the north of Jiangsu,the central of Jiangsu and the east of Anhui).The three main source areas have a modest annual variation.There are the smallest source areas in northwest of Nanjing.The surrounding source areas impacting atmospheric environment within48h which have the strong interannual variability cover parts of Jiangsu,Anhui,Jiangxi,Hubei and Zhejiang located in Nanjing’s outer edge.The climate analysis of air quality surrounding source in August in Nanjing can be used to determine the region where the emission need be reduced and controlled during Youth Olympics Games in August in2014in Nanjing.
