Ship exhaust emission is one of the main sources of air pollution in port cities. The prosperous development of maritime trade has promoted the economic development of the Tianjin Port area while bringing enormous harm to the air quality of the port area.During navigation, ship emits a large amount of atmospheric pollutants such as SOx,NOx and particulate matter.Affected by wind and diffusion, these pollutants can have a significant impact on air quality and public health in coastal and inland areas. At present,no scholars have conducted research on the spatial distribution of Ship's atmospheric pollutants in Tianjin Port, which restricts Tianjin Port to develop targeted air pollution prevention and control programs. In order to grasp the air pollutant emission from ships in Tianjin Port and its spatial distribution pattern, the emission inventory of ships in Tianjin Port was analyzed in this study based on the ship power calculation method, and the spatial distribution pattern of pollutants discharged from ships in Tianjin Port was studied based on GIS technology. Finally, feasible suggestions were put forward for the prevention and control of air pollution in Tianjin Port. The results showed that the emissions of NOx,SO2,PM2.5,PM10,CO and VOC were 24780.48 t,24103.29 t,2094.69 t,2618.96 t,2005.90 t and 830.68 t,respectively in Tianjin Port in the first half of 2016.According to the ship type comparison, container ships and bulk carriers had the largest pollutant emissions;according to the pollution source, the main engines' pollutant emissions were the largest;according to the driving state, the ship emitted the largest amount of pollutants in the slow state.NOx and SO2 were the main air pollutants from ships, and the pollutant emission in February and June was less.Besides, the air pollutants from ships were mainly concentrated in the port area of the Tianjin Port land area, the Dagusha Channel and the New Port main channel. It is necessary to reduce the air pollutant emission from ships near the port by adopting methods such as reducing the fuel sulfur content of the inbound ships berthed in port, requiring the inbound ships berthed in port to use shore power and expanding the scope of the Tianjin Port emission control area.
