Carbon molecular sieves are made up of crystallized carbon and amorphous carbon, broadly is a nonpolar carbon adsorption material, narrow sense is a kind of activated carbon with uniform pore distribution. It has been widely used in industrial waste gas treatment, chemical oil industry, food hygiene, medical and pharmaceutical, and environmental protection.And the key to study concentration low concentration gas by pressure swing adsorption is to prepare CMS sorbent with homogeneous Pore size, large pore volume and high specific surface area.This thesis focuses on two types of carbon molecular sieve:lignite is used as raw material of the first CMS, carbonization and activation technology is used to prepare carbon molecular sieve.And emphatically syudy the optimum conditions under this technology.Finaly the CMS is characterized by BET and other tests. Results are as follows:a. The optimum conditions of the carbon molecular sieve which is prepared by lignite:the first carbonization time110min,the first carbonization temperature700℃, nitrogen flow rate120ml·min-1, material diameter120mesh, the second carbonization temperature750℃,the second carbonization time4h, activator concentration30%, the deposition time and temperature is3.5h and800℃respectively.b. From pore size distribution and adsorption-desorption isotherms of carbon molecular sieve, the carbon molecular sieve are mainly composed of microporous, also average pore diameter is2.8nm. Resistance value is less than106Ω,so the prepared carbon molecular sieves have electrostatic conductive performance.Another is to adjust pore structure of carbon molecular sieve use provided by the manufacturer by activation and corbon deposition.And comparing the carbon molecular sieve adjusted and original carbon molecular sieve, surface area and pore volume of carbon molecular sieve activated has significantly increased, an increase in48.4%-122.8%. After corbon deposition, pore distribution of car-bon molecular sieve become uniform, concentrations of concentrated methane increased obviously. Optimum conditions for further holes adjustment are obtained:optimum temperature of activation for the770℃, best deposition concentrations of3%.
