In terms of the current situation in China, oil production is on the second or the third stage and there is so much water in the crude oil which was produced from oil well. Too much water will cause a lot of difficulty in storage, transportation and process. In order to reduce the water content of crude oil, many methods has been used for separation of water from oil. In these methods, centrifugal-pulse electric field associating with demulsification is more efficient than other methods.The experiment is designed for researching the principle of centrifugal-pulse electric field associating with demulsification, the influencing and validation of dewatering were made by experiment. In addition, laws of demulsification under different conditions for pure electric field and pure centrifugal field are also studied by adopting the self-designed centrifugal-pulse electric field associating with demulsification experimental device, the research object is Water-in-Oil emulsion with a moisture content of10%, which is made up with the5#white oil and ultra pure water. The electric dehydration experiment is taken in the case of high frequency/high pressure and centrifugal field coupling. According to the effect of demulsification and dehydration, the influence of the electric field frequency, voltage, rotation rate of centrifugal drum on demulsification was studied. The optimal experimental parameters were got:voltage is4500V, frequency is2000Hz, and rotation rate is300r/min.On this basis, modal analysis and strength analysis of the drum was studies by ANSYS software. Through some parameters, such as the multi natural frequency, mode of vibration and maximum stress, criticalspeed and hazardous location are obtained.Experimental study on the separation of the water in oil emulsion not only provide a basis for the subsequent continuity experiments, but also bring an important guiding role for the optimal design parameters of drum.
