There are many factors influencing the slab quality, including casting speed,casting temperature and cooling condition. According to the steady statecharacteristics of bend type continuous casting, using finite numerical simulationsoftware ProCAST for simulation of casting solidification process. This article selectsthe H13steel bending type continuous casting system, the size of the billet size is250mm×250mm. Discusses the influence of casting speed, casting temperature,cooling conditions on the temperature distribution, solidification process andmicrostructure. Compare and analyze the temperature distribution, solidificationprocess and microstructure under different speed, different pouring temperature anddifferent cooling conditions.The results show that the influence of casting speed on the solidification processis great. Improve the drawing speed, when the slab reach a steady state thetemperature increased significantly, the solidification speed become slow, solid ratedecreases and medium axis crystal ratio in microstructure medium axis crystal ratiobecome bigger, the grain size become smaller. The influence of casting temperatureon the solidification process is little, the bigger the pouring temperature, thetemperature when slab reaches the steady state is higher, the solidification speed isslower, solid rate decreases and medium axis crystal ratio in microstructure mediumaxis crystal ratio become smaller, the grain size become bigger. The influence ofcooling condition on the solidification process is larger, cooling intensity increases,the temperature when slab reaches the steady state is lower the solidification speed isfaster, solid rate increases and medium axis crystal ratio in microstructure mediumaxis crystal ratio become bigger, the grain size become smaller.
