The second cooling control is an all-important process in the continuous slab casting techniques. The time-variability of drawing speed causes the decline of temperature field stability in the solidification and heat-transfer process, which will affect the quality of casting directly. At the same time ,it increases the difficulty of auto-control implement. So, how to find the effective equilibrium point to guarantee the slab quality becomes the urgent problem.For the time-varying problem of drawing speed in the continuous slab casting, A program, which would dynamically control the casting processes at real time, has been developed in the present paper. First, after analyzing the static control method in the process of the second cooling, the results of dynamic control have been compared with it and then the two aspects have been combined. Thereby the casting processes possess both the stable and practical results. Second, the methods of tracking and locating at real time and incising the time slice averagely have been employed. Third, combining the actual heat-dispersing laws in the second cooling region and making the actual current density distribution of heat-transfer as boundary conditions, the solidification processes have been analyzed by establishing the solid heat-transfer mathematics model of the casting slab. Finally, the reasonable control strategies have been chosen, and the rational temperature field distributing model is optimized after dispersing treatment of heat-transfer. The present program is modularized that gather the dynamically casting tracking, optimization of water amount in the second cooling, temperature field calculation of casting. It is validated that the software could make the system stability and real-time better and more accurate, because the parameters are designed reasonably and commanded appropriately, and the temperature field distributing is according with the predetermine demands.
