High temperature measurement of combustion flame is an extremely important issue inthe combustion field. It plays a key role in the aspects of judgment, forecasting and diagnosticof the combustion state, meanwhile the study in the field of defense technology, chemistry,materials, is also very important. Because the flame combustion temperature of explosive forpyrotechnics is not only a key indicator to characterize the performance of its output, but alsois the important parameter of its output capacity. Therefore, the study of how to get explosivecombustion temperature is extremely important. This project is funded by national project,and the purpose is to study the technology of detecting high-temperature of combustion flame,providing a strong basis for the assessment of explosive output performance.This paper is aims at the detection of combustion temperature of pyrotechnics, and tostudy the progress of the methods of measuring the flame temperature and the appropriateinstrument at home and abroad. In allusion to their lack great efforts have made to innovateand improve the methods and instruments, and a set of measuring explosive combustion flametemperature measurement system is designed successfully.As an important flame temperature measurement methods, the atomic emissionspectroscopy two-line method which this paper has chosen takes full advantage of the flameradiation characteristics of itself. Compared with other methods this method has very largetemperature range and accuracy which is relatively high, meanwhile in the terms of selectivity,adaptability and comprehensive measurement of physical quantities has irreplaceableadvantages. In this paper, on the basis of existing two-line method, for the main purpose ofincreasing the temperature range and improving the measurement accuracy and suitability,deduced a new method for calculating the temperature. Temperature measurement system in this paper, has measured a number of flame spectraof pyrotechnics to determine the characteristics of the corresponding dual-wavelength spectralrange and laid the foundation for the design of the optical system and selection for thespectrometer. And then discussed in detail for the parameters and characteristics of selectedUSB4000spectrometer, and calibrated its wavelength at last. Finally, a complete flametemperature detection system has formed by building the optical part with the spectrometerand computer together.Using designed temperature measurement system to measure the actual combustionflame temperature of two kinds of pyrotechnics, and then comparing the reference value andthe measured temperature value.And last discussing the experimental error, on this basisimproved method has proposed.
