The outer longitudinal rib steel cylinder is a kind of complex shape, dimensionalaccuracy and high performance requirements of the cylinder parts. Before walled pipe by wayof forming production machining, which is material utilization, productivity and relativelylow mechanical properties. In this paper, the outer longitudinal rib steel cylinder hot-coldextrusion compound were studied.According to the parts structural characteristics and extrusion principle of outerlongitudinal rib steel cylinder, analysis the different forming technology scheme andformulate the reasonable extrusion figure. The cylindrical pieces of longitudinal rib"radial-reverse" flow rule was numerical simulation by using Deform-3D software. Thestrengthen measures of metal radial flow was proposed. At the same time, we analysis theblanks’strain regularity and punch force load-stroke curve in the process of hot extrusion. Forforming extrusion in upper and lower ports is not full filling defects are analyzed andimprovement measures are presented. The "flat with a cone punch","secondary lubrication"and "big wall thickness value" of load shedding measures were proposed. The punch coneangle and wall thickness dimensions were identified. The extrusion mouth defects wereanalyzed through the cold shaping process simulation.On the basis of the above research, the main relevant extrusion die of longitudinal ribouter cylinder were designed and experimental verification was carried on. The results showthat: the numerical simulation is consistent with experimental results. Introduction of newtechnology (blanking-billet heating-hot extrusion-normalizing-pickling, phosphate,saponification-cold plastic-aging treatment-Machining). The extrusion surface finish,shape accuracy and mechanical properties are achieved product requirements. Realized the outer wall of the integrally plastic forming and the purpose of cutting small and improved thereliability of product. Compared with the original machine production way, the process toimprove material utilization and production efficiency, reduce costs. More important is toachieve energy saving and the desired research objectives, provide a reference for theproduction of such components.
