This paper studied the flows of heavy-metals from process and the feature of two yest as biosorbent for heavymetals and COD from saponin manufacturing wastwater as investigated.Determination of the content of heavy metals in various parts of the saponin processing, solving the problem of the flow of heavy metals from saponin processing.Using two yeats as biosorbent in the removal efficiency for heavymetals and COD from saponin manufacturing wastwater of the the bio mass in different time, temperature,pH value, inoculation quantity was studied.Effects of two yeats as biosorbent in treatment of saponin wastewater by yeast characteristics.Compared the effects of cooperative treatment with separate treatment by two kinds of strains, and discussing the significance of synergy between the two microorganism. This paper main research contents were as follows:1.In the saponin processing process, heavy-metals flows to saponin manufacturing wastewater, while the saponin product has no heaay-metals. The total100g of turmeric production of diosgenin wastewater containing Pb, Zn, Cu, Cd, As, Hg and other heavy metals were0.321mg,1.184mg,0.406mg,0.013mg,5.534mg,0.025mg2. Biosorption equilibrium was established within120min and3days for heavy-metal and COD adsorbed by red yeat. The removal rate for heavy-metal(Pb,Zn,Cu,Cd,As and Hg) reached about90%、90%、65%、90%、85%、75%、88%respectively when temperature at30℃~40℃,pH value at5~6,and inoculation quantity of10%.The removal rate for COD from saponin manufacturing wastwater reached about65%.Effect is obvious.3. Biosorption equilibrium was established within120min and3days for heavy-metal and COD adsorbed by Candida utilis. The removal rate for heavy-metal(Pb,Zn,Cu,Cd,As and Hg) reached about38%、50%、30%、65%、60%、80%respectively when temperature at20℃~30℃,pH value at5,and inoculation quantity of8%-10%.The removal rate for COD from saponin manufacturing wastwater reached about45%.Effect is not obvious. 4.according to the volume ratio of1:0and1:1,the effect of saponin wastewater removal of heavy metals and COD is obvious. The removal rate for heavy-metal(Pb,Zn,Cu,Cd,As and Hg) reached about92.36%、92.48%、70.74%%、86.94%,78.42%.89.87%when the volume ratio of1:1.Single red yeat as biosorbent in treatment of saponin in the effect of COD is better than mixed strains.5.The research on two yeats as biosorbent for heavymetals and COD from saponin manufacturing wastwater were discussed for guiding the further studying this field that red yeat is better than Candida utilis, providing positive conditions for subsequent treatment of diosgenin wastewater. So the prospect of biosorption in application of industry would be presented.
