Metal powder flux-cored wire, be known as " replace the solid wire weldingwire ", is widely used in modern industries, such as automobile making,shipbuilding, bridge, etc. More metal powder makes fierce the metallurgicalreaction, and generates heavy influence on metal droplet, spatter, arc stability,so it is important to study the arc physical properties.In this study, several different metal powder flux-cored wire are used toresearch the arc properties. High speed photography and Hanover weldingquality analyzer are the main methods to be used for post processing, bymathematical method to evaluate the arc stability. The result prove that the metalpowder fluxed-cored wire have several different metal droplet method, includinglarger particle short circuit transition, larger particle repel transition, fine particletransition, projected transfer, etc. In the fine particle transition and projected transfer, the arc is stability and not stop burning. Spray pattern includes theexplosion spatter, molten pool splash, arc force splash, droplet the explosionspatter, bubbles released spatter, etc.By analyzing the instantaneous current voltage waveform and frequencydistribution, the current voltage waveform figure of short circuit transition iscyclical, there will be a wave trough characteristics, the two closer peaks ortroughs short-circuit transition frequency, the higher the closer distance. For thecurrent voltage waveform figure less volatile, they are repel transfer or projectedtransfer with such properties.The instantaneous current voltage frequency distribution characteristics hasthe characteristics of "double hump", shows that there are arc welding processand phenomenon of restarting, the smaller the scope of the current frequencydistribution in horizontal direction is, the smaller the volatility of its current, thetransition will be stable.Using the Origin of data processing can get U-I figure, U-I figure of shortcircuit transition has obvious four turning points, and can constitute a simple"rectangle". U-I figure of the repel transition and fine particles transition ischaracterized by a gather together an irregular "circular" figure. But whether it isshort circuit transition or repel transition, the more concentrated the U-I figureof short circuit transition or repel transition, the more stable the metal dropletand the arc.
