Selective laser sintering technology is a processing method that fusion powder bind together through laser scanning. As being convenient to use, being easy to process complex structure, chosen material widely and needn’t additional support structure, selective laser sintering is applying to many industry widely.Thermal stress is caused unbalance thermal field that laser heat powder instantly and locally to produce. Deformation caused thermal stress has an effect on manufacturing precise and mechanical properties.In this paper, thermal field distribution is analyzed by the finite element method and thermal stress and mechanical properties is be researched by laser sintering experiment, In result, technological parameters are optimized, deformation and thermal stress are decreased and quality of parts is improved.Firstly, sintering PA6powder is simulated by finite element method software. In this part, fusion condition of powder material is analyzed. Meanwhile, effects of laser scanning pattern and preheating and keeping warm is researched through figuring up thermal field. The study found that thermal field distribution can be improved through choosing appropriate scanning pattern and temperature of preheating and keeping warm.Secondly, based on analysis, PA6powder laser sintering experiments are exerted. Deformation and stress of parts are analyzed by elastic deformation method. Effects on deformation and stress of laser scanning pattern and preheating and keeping warm is researched. The study found that deformation and stress can be reduced by preheating and keeping warm and a appropriate scanning pattern.Finally, based on the sintering experiments, mechanical property is measured. The research found that the mechanical property can be improved by preheating and keeping warm and a appropriate scanning pattern. While manufacture layers increase, the load-carrying capacity and tensile strength improve.
