The Influence From International Motivation And Inward International Experience On The Entry Mode Of Private Enterprise

About the study about what kind of factors will affect enterprise entry mode, the current researches are more focus on external perspective without enough attention to the internal side of the company, for example, the industry, the physical distance, psychological distance et al.. More focus on the motivation, our research is trying to built the relation between reason and procedure, explored how the motivation affect the international entry modes from the perspectives of Resource-based View, Organization Learning theory as well as the Institution Theory. Meanwhile, because of the special internalization path of Chinese enterprises, some of the companies may go through a kind of inward international procedure before going global, they processed a kind of experience so called " inward international experience", What kind of important role this experience accumulation will play in the later international? This problem also was clarified in our research. There are totally 200 Chinese private enterprises which is involving in international activities to be as our sample. After questionnaires collection, data analyzing, our research established the relationship between international motivations and entry modes of Private Enterprise and explored the moderate role of inward international experience in this relationship. We found that the internationalization motivation do influent the entry modes. The more the company focuses on market-seeking motivation, the more they tend to choose partly-equity entry mode. The more the company focuses on learning motivation, the more they tend to choose partly-equity entry mode. The inward international experience is a mediator between motivation and entry mode choice, which inward international experience will enforce the relation between motivations and wholly-equity entry mode. So we found an important internal factor to influence the entry mode choice. It will help us to well explain and anticipate international activities. What's more, according to the role that inward experience plays, the more motivation of high-control entry mode, the more such experience a company should has.
