The thesis is on the basis of product life cycle in marketing, which identify the whole progress from new product development to come out of the market, analyzing the relationship between product life cycle to product development. It is divided in to five layers in theoretic structure:development, introduction, growth, maturity and decline analyzing the facts influenced Chinese furniture product development and management in separate stage and different strategies.During the period of development, the point is developing new product meet the needs of market as soon as possible. In the period of introduction, the key point aims at promotion of furniture. It is very important to figure out the new product introduction, which needs to control elements influenced it and adopting the proper strategy to assure the whole process. In the period of growth, the new product is accepted by consumer. Then the key point aims at design and cultivation. When entering into the maturity, the homogeneity of products became serious, so the design part gets into important. The furniture company has to monitor the status of maturity in order to avoid the bad effects. Furniture product goes to decline in the end, so the prediction part is important for the preparation so as to choose the proper strategy around the product in that period. The conclusion about design can guide for the inventory of the next generation as well as trying out the corn issue of the design.While the theory of product life cycle is used in practice, it includes abstract product life circle of furniture and concrete product life circle of furniture. Only with these two sides combined can the furniture company be run even well.
