21st century is the era of knowledge economy, economic-based cultural and culture-based economy has become the trend. Culture industry has become an important resource for economic development. With the acceleration of economic globalization, the development of cultural industry has become the fastest rising industry. Through 20 years of vigorous development China's cultural industry has become a pillar and leading industry of our country.The development of cultural industries plays no-ignored role in promoting a wide range of industries to economic growth, because associated with the characteristics of cultural industries to economic growth the cultural industries played an irreplaceable role in promoting economic growth. The purpose of this study is to analyze cultural industry through what channels promotes economic growth? How dose cultural industries contribute to economic growth?As the culture industry classification standards established not long ago, there are a lot of selection problems on the relevant data. In this paper, with the cross-section data of the 2008 national second economic census and the time series cultural industry data from year 1994 to year 2008, using descriptive statistical methods and empirical statistical methods analysis the relationship between economic growth and cultural industries comprehensive. This paper make use of the endogenous growth theory models, making the assumptions of cultural industries on the economic growth is according to the labor force, productivity, technological innovation, and the other endogenous growth factors of economic growth; making the evidence on the use of Cobb-Douglas equation, making analysis the relationship between the total factor productivity and the indicators of cultural industries. We concluded the regression model of the cultural industry development and economic growth. Finally we make the summary the innovation and shortcomings of this research and the further policy recommendations of cultural industries. The content of this paper concludes the following six specific parts: The chapter I is an introduction. This chapter introduces the significance of this study, current research, data sources, research methods and definitions of key concepts. By the definition of the concept of cultural industries and the research results of domestic and foreign scholars, we can have an idea of this paper to facilitate subsequent analysis of the article.The chapter II is to introduce the endogenous growth theory models, making the assumptions of cultural industries on the economic growth is according to the labor force, productivity, technological innovation, and the other endogenous growth factors of economic growth.The chapter III is to analysis the correlation of cultural industries and the economic growth. Because the data is rather special, first we analysis the correlation of all from horizontal and vertical perspective by the cross-section data of the 2008 national second economic census; second we analysis the correlation of all from horizontal and vertical perspective according Granger causality test by the time series cultural industry data from year 1994 to year 2008.The chapterⅣis to make the evidence on the use of Cobb-Douglas equation, making analysis the relationship between the total factor productivity and the indicators of cultural industries. We concluded the regression model of the cultural industry development and economic growth.The chapterⅤis the conclusion. We make the summary the innovation and shortcomings of this research and the further policy recommendations of cultural industries.
