A Study On Consumption Difference Between Urban And Rural Resident Under Dual Economic Structure In China

From the experience of international economic development, it can be inferred the dual economic structure is the outcome of a country's development into a certain stage, which will seriously impede the process of industrialization, marketization and modernization. As the largest developing countries-China, have been apparent showing characteristics of the dual economic structure in recent years, that seriously hindered our economy health rapidly growth. Because of the incomes difference between urban and rural, the government finances support difference; the social welfare created difference, which is caused the consumption difference between urban and rural residents. At the same time, Dual economic structure aggravates consumption differences between urban and rural residents.After inspecting China's economy from the angle of Dual economic structure, this paper gets the basic reason of the presently dilemma still is Dual economic structure by empirical analysis and theoretical analysis of Dual economic structure and consumption difference between urban and rural resident. In order to lighten or remove the consumption difference between urban and rural resident, we first have to weaken Dual economic structure, increasing farmer income and encouraging the consumption should still be sustained. The paper analyzes causes of consumption difference from the angle of level,structure,consumption rate,structural trend, and propose the train of thought and policies for adjustment.On the basis of Dual economic structure, this paper uses equilibrium analysis method, deductive and induction method, adopts positivism and normative analysis to discuss the relationship mechanism between Characteristics of the dual economic structure and consumption difference between urban and rural resident. From history point of view, This paper summarizes historical consumption difference between urban and rural resident since the reform and opening up, states causes which lead to difference between urban and rural resident, and make the policies of macro-economy and Micro-management more efficiency and science in order to promote Dual economic structure to Dollar economy.
